How does repentance fit into the gospel?

How does the message of repentance vary from the current message about Christ being taught by many churches today?

What was the message of Christ and John the baptist?
Luke 3:3 .preaching the baptism of repentance for remission of sins.

Why do people need to repent?
Luke 13:5 Unless people repent they will perish.

Can someone enter into the Kingdom of God without repenting?
Rev 3:19 the need to be zealous and repent

Matt 3:1-6 John taught repentance.

Matt 9:13 Jesus Christ came to call sinners to repentance.
Are we doing that today? or is it polictically incorrect?

Mark 6:13 - Christ sent the disciples out telling people they should repent.

Did they continue to teach repentance after Christ's crucifixion?
Acts 2:38 - Repent & be baptized
Acts 3:19 - Repent & be converted.. that your sins may be blotted out.
Converted?
Acts 26:20 Paul also taught repentance.. and to bring for works meet for repentance.

How do people find out they need to repent?
Is 59:1-2 - People need to be made aware that they are sinning.
Is 55:7-8 - the wicked need to forsake their way.
Is 1:4 - we live in a sinful nation.

Is 1:16-20 the need to repent and change (repent).
