Situated in the Cumberland Valley and ringed by the Appalachian Mountains to the west and the Blue Ridge Mountains to the east, Hagerstown and surrounding Washington County offer many family, recreational and cultural activities.

Hagerstown also has a major mall, plus the largest outlet mall in Maryland, a grotto cave, a nice city park, a museum of fine arts, five state parks including the civil war battlefield at Antietam Creek, home to five area golf courses golf courses, ice rinks in a ice and sports complex, biking trails, and river rafting during the Feast.

Fine dining restaurants, neighborhood pubs and grills, bustling eateries and diners and quick to-go delis and fast food chains provide eclectic menus with dozens of choices for all budgets.

Traveling the Western Maryland Rail Trail, residents and visitors experience the beauty of Washington County's rolling farmland and abundant wildlife. People commonly enjoy hiking, biking, jogging and roller-blading along the 10-mile trail, which follows the former Western Maryland Railroad line. Hagerstown is equidistant (70 miles) from Washington, DC, Baltimore, MD, and Harrisburg, PA, plus less than an hour to Gettysburg. This proximity provides the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational field trips and enjoyable excursions to these metropolitan areas.

At Hagerstown, U.S. Interstate 81 traveling north and south crisscrosses U.S. Interstate 70 traveling east and west making easy access for members.

The Clarion Hotel & Conference Center Antietam Creek will host church services and provide the bulk of housing accommodations. Rooms will be $65 per night and is enhanced by the $1 million refurbishment that the hotel completed this past year, which include new carpet, wall coverings and furnishing in our guest rooms and suites, freshly painted meeting rooms, new lobby furniture and a hi-tech Fun Zone for children of all ages.
