Greetings
Welcome to our study of the book of Revelation. This study was requested by the members of the Chicago United Church of God congregation for our monthly Bible study from June, 2004 to August, 2007. Some of the later chapters were also given in the Beloit, Wisconsin UCG congregation.

My study of Revelation began while attending Ambassador College in Pasadena, California (1961-63) and Bricket Wood, England (1963-65). That study has never stopped and I doubt it ever will. There will always be more to learn about this and all the other books of the Bible.

  - Bob Fahey, Pastor of the United Church of God, Northern Illinois and Beloit

Background
The opening sentence states the book’s purpose: “The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants—things which must shortly take place.”

While the Revelation is available to all, it is addressed to the servants of Jesus Christ. Its purpose is to inform His servants of coming events. In verse three a blessing is pronounced upon those who “read,” “hear” and “keep those things that are written in it; for the time is near.” May God grant you that blessing.
