December 10th, Dan Deininger will cover the youth oriented topic of ``Rejoicing in Your Youth"
In just two verses the writer of Ecclesiastes says a mouthful. (Ecc 11:9-10)
What do these words mean and what is the impact of these verses when applied properly by both young people and
parents?
1. What is a ``youth"?
2. What is meant by ``rejoice" and ``let your heart cheer you"?
3a. What does it mean to ``walk in the ways of your heart and the sight of your eyes"?
3b. How does this tie in to honoring one's parents? 3c. How does this impact the parents role in child rearing?
4. What is the importance of the knowing that God will ``bring you into judgement"? Does this tie in to chapter 12, verse 1?
5a. Does the comments in verse 10 indicate that youth will have sorrow and evil in their heart? 5b. Do young people sometimes
think that being young is an excuse to be unresponsible in actions or attitude? [Related scripture: Gen 8:21...]
6. Doesn't Ecc 12:13 equally apply to young people as well as adults.
Other scriptures that relate to this topic:
1 Timothy 4:12 - Let no man despise your youth...
2 Timothy 2:22 - Flee (also) youthful lusts:
